I have been teaching about intimacy, researching relationships, and counseling couples for years. My research studies, known as Intimate Justice Theory, have been published in prestigious academic journals and have won numerous awards for their focus on spirituality and personal responsibility.
I am a Professor at Berry College, near Atlanta, Georgia where I serve as Chair of the Education Department and as Director of the Family Studies Program. I earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Florida State University in Family Science and a Master’s Degree from Michigan State University in Family and Child Science. I went to college at Santa Clara University in California where I majored in the Psychology of Religion.
I am affiliated with the American Psychological Association, the International Family Therapy Association, and the Family Science Association of America.
